PORTLAND, Ore. — Former U.S. Secretary of State and Senator John Kerry will be at Powell’s bookstore next month to talk about his new book.
In “Every Day Is Extra,” Kerry tells his life story, which includes his service in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, his five terms as a U.S. senator, his failed run for president in 2004 and as President Barack Obama’s secretary of state during his final term.
He also writes about the hyperpartisanship plaguing Washington, D.C.
The event is Sunday, Sept. 16 from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Powell’s City of Books, 1005 W. Burnside St.
The cost is $35 and includes a copy of the book.
