John Kerry turned 74 on Monday, and in honor of his day we took a look back at some of his greatest hits.

Kerry, who served as the 68th Unites States Secretary of State from 2013-2017 under Barack Obama, and before that represented Massachusetts as its Senator from 1985-2013, has been a life-long politician and a part of the Washington, D.C. establishment for a long time. (RELATED: 10 Times John Kerry Looked More Like Secretariat Than Secretary Of State [SLIDESHOW])

His run for president in 2004 against incumbent President George W. Bush, after beating out Sen. John Edwards and Vermont Gov. Howard Dean for the Democratic nominee, was full of one fail after another.

Some of the highlights of that campaign would definitely have to be when Kerry said, “I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it,” as his failed attack against Bush for the Iraq war. (RELATED: Scott Brown Started His On-Air Fire Bombing Of John Kerry Saying, ‘With All Due Respect,’ So It’s Alllll Goooood [VIDEO])

But for our purposes, we have gathered together some of the most insane pictures of him during his career trying to play things like football and soccer, and we do mean trying. One of the classic worst political photo op’s of all time was when he was photographed crawling out of a hatch on the Space Shuttle Discovery in a protective all green suit during his visit to NASA. Thanks for the laughs!
